Responsibilities:  
Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients for acute, routine, well, and follow-up care.
Specialize in the management of chronic diseases including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, and obesity.
Diagnose and treat acute illness.
Treat minor injuries.
Physical examinations and immunizations.
Gynecological care.
Geriatric medicine.
Cardiac screenings.
Specialist and community resource referrals.
Educate patients on prevention and management of disease.

Schedule:  
5 days a week, Monday through Friday, with shared weekend and holiday on-call shifts with other providers.
No hospital rounds expected.

Qualifications:  
Must be Bilingual: English and Spanish.
Possess and maintain certification as a Family or Medical/Surgical NP accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Ideally, will possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years as an NP in an internal, family and/or geriatric medical setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ideally licensed in VA and have an active DEA.
